Fellow Islanders,

We have spent the last two years making a grand effort to contact as many islanders as possible, posting folders and flyers at the major boat landings and launches, walking door-to-door, boating dock-to-dock, and sending a mass mailing, derived from the town tax lists.
To date we have thirty-one islands represented - and over 300 recipes! Check out the list of islands--is your island represented?

On this journey we have connected with some truly wonderful people. We share a common bond - we all love our island lives and cherish the time spent on the lake with our family and friends. We never tire of the beauty that surrounds us… a different sunrise or sunset every day from the same vantage point, the wildlife that performs for us, and the fruit of the land… blueberries!


PUBLISHING UPDATE!

"Hungry for Summer"
A Unique Collection of Favorite Recipes from the Island Residents of Lake Winnipesaukee

We are sorry to inform you that we ran into a snag that cost us the release of our book for this summer... When the publisher typeset our 300 page book, it came back to us with 400 pages and a price tag of $28.95. We felt that this size and price was too much and unnecessary. We are working with them to make the necessary changes. As of now, we are not certain whether we will be able to release the book for Christmas or if it will be in the spring of 2010.

Please check back for updates... We are as anxious to have a finished book in hand as you are.
