Fellow Islanders, We have spent the last two years making a grand effort to contact as many islanders as possible, posting folders and flyers at the major boat landings and launches, walking door-to-door, boating dock -to-dock, and sending a mass mailing, derived from the town tax lists. To date we have twenty-six islands represented - and over 300 recipes! Check out the list of islands--is your island represented? On this journey we have connected with some truly wonderful people. We share a common bond- we all love our island lives and cherish the time spent on the lake with our family and friends. We never tire of the beauty that surrounds us… a different sunrise or sunset every day from the same vantage point, the wildlife that performs for us, and the fruit of the land… blueberries! We are now working on the publishing phase of this project and hope the book will be in print next summer --2009. Thank you all for your contributions. We look forward to seeing them in print.
